Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana 2026-27 Overview
This is a scholarship and incentive scheme of Haryana Government for Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Sanshodhit Yojana 2026-27 to pursue higher education. This scheme is implemented by Department of Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes and Antyodaya, Haryana.
Online application for the session 2026-27 is open from 17 August 2026 to 30 November 2026 on Saral Haryana Portal. Only eligible candidates for the session can apply on-line.
The incentive is in the form of an annual incentive of the order of ₹8,000 to ₹12,000 per student in various categories of students, qualifying examination and course of study. This is not just financial assistance but also incentive to students to do better in studies and to pursue higher studies.

What is Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana ?
The Haryana Government has implemented the scheme to promote the academic excellence of students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and other eligible categories. This scheme has now been extended to cover several other eligible categories of students subject to compliance with the academic and income parameters prescribed for the scheme.
Students who have successfully completed the previous stage/course and achieved the required percentage for the next stage/course can be rewarded with financial incentives. This is especially true for students who have performed well in school/college and are continuing on with their studies.
Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Chhatra Yojana 2026-27 – Application Dates
Applications for the 2026-27 session will be accepted from 17 August 2026 until 30 November 2026 for online submission of the application form.
Please submit your application well before the deadline. Ensure you have checked your marks, income certificate, residence, caste/category certificate, bank-account details and current-course details before submitting your application.
Who Can Apply?
The scheme is applicable to the eligible students of the categories under the Haryana Government’s revised scheme for SC, certain denotified/nomadic and other communities, BC-A, BC-B and other categories as specified in the scheme.
The Haryana Government’s information on the Scheme for the year 2026-27 specifies the percentage of marks required for the SC students, BC-A students, BC-B students and other general category students, separately for the urban and rural students.
